Pier 60 is ideally located and it is one of the city's popular spots dishing up lots of family fun. Locals and visitors flock to the pier to enjoy the spectacular scenery and soak up the atmosphere. Pier 60 offers a lot of activities and fishing is on the top of its list. This is also the location of the daily sunset celebration with street performers and a great vibe. The pier is also a popular spot for shopping and dining.
Clearwater Marine Aquarium rescues and rehabilitates injured marine animals such as dolphins and sea turtles. The marine animals are released back into the wild once they have been treated and fully recovered. The Marine Aquarium is open to visitors. It is a great facility for adults and kids alike to learn about marine life and environmental conservation. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is also the home of the world's most famous dolphin – “Winter”.
The city hosts several concerts throughout the year. The Clearwater Jazz Holiday is a world class jazz event offering magnificent jazz and art. The festival has brought to stage some of the best jazz legends including; Tonny Bennett and Kenny G. The Clearwater Hispanic Heritage Festival celebrates Hispanic culture bringing many Latin artists into the city.
Clearwater is only 20 minutes from St. Petersburg and one hour and a half from Tampa. Visitors can easily make the short trip and enjoy the attractions of the cities close by as well.

Clearwater is a city with plenty of restaurants. There are all kinds of eateries in town offering a wide variety of cuisines; from Italian to classic American fare. Clearwater also has a strong Latin heritage and this has lead to many great Mexican and Spanish restaurants in Clearwater.
Columbia Restaurants (1241 Gulf Blvd. Clearwater Beach ) is an institution in Clearwater and has been in operation for over a hundred years. The restaurant is renowned for its Spanish/ Cuban cuisine and elegant waterfront dining. Frenchy's Salt Water Cafe (419 Poinsettia Ave. Clearwater Beach) has a varied cuisine with both indoor and outdoor seating as well as plenty of atmosphere.
Clearwater offers plenty of charming shops, unique boutiques, quaint art galleries and malls. Westfield Country side is a fantastic shopping mall with great stores including; MAC, Macy's, Hollister, Forever 21 and Sears. Surf Style (315 S. Gulfview Blvd. Clearwater Beach ) offers a fantastic selection of cool beach wear for all ages and styles.
For even more shops; Tampa and St. Petersburg are only a drive away. The International Plaza in Tampa has plenty of luxury boutiques including; Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, True Religion and Tiffany & Co.

Florida is popularly known as the “Sunshine State” for a reason; its almost always hot and sunny in the state. The resort city of Clearwater gets good weather year round.
