Attractions in Kentucky

Learn about the fascinating life of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, along Kentucky’s Lincoln Heritage Trail. Kentucky is famous for its horses, and the Kentucky Horse Park is the place to get up close to these beautiful animals. The 1032-acre park features daily horse shows, a working farm, and guided horseback rides. For all you baseball fans you can witness the crafting of the infamous baseball bat at the Louisville Slugger Museum, while children can enjoy the interactive exhibits at the Louisville Science Centre.

Kentucky Rolex – Equestrian Lexington 26 – 29 April
The Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event is an eventing competition held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. The Rolex Kentucky is a CCI**** eventing competition, and the only four-star show in the Western Hemisphere. Four stars is the highest level of competition, the same level of competition as Eventing at the Olympics.
Kentucky Derby – 4 to 5 May
The Kentucky Derby is a Grade I stakes race for three-year-old Thoroughbred horses, held annually in Louisville, Kentucky, United States on the first Saturday in May, capping the two-week-long Kentucky Derby Festival.

Abbey Road on the River is a five-day, multi-stage music festival honoring the music and spirit of The Beatles. The festival takes place in Louisville, Kentucky over the Memorial Day weekend. Over the course of the festival, multiple tribute bands play the music of the Beatles.

Weather in Kentucky
The state of Kentucky has a moderate climate. Summers are usually warm and winters are cool. Kentucky's weather patterns are influenced by the Gulf of Mexico, especially during summer. Much of Kentucky's average 46 inches of rain a year falls in spring, the rainiest season. Southern Kentucky receives the highest average rainfall, about 50 inches a year, while the north averages only 40 inches.
Average temperatures range from a high of 30°C in the summer to a low of -5°C in the winter.
