Los Cabos Attractions

Relaxing, undiscovered, natural and sunny Los Cabos is the destination you don't want to miss. If you love water sports try boogie or paddle boarding. On windy days, you should try Hobie Cats and small sailboats. They are easy to maneuver around the faster vessels in the busy bay. What’s more, it's entertaining, effortless, safe and inexpensive. For a sensory sailing treat, cruising the Sea of Cortés is not to be missed. This is truly what Los Cabos is all about. Jeep tours are the best way to get into the bush without breaking a sweat. Small groups will find several tours around Los Cabos, into the mountains and through small ranch and farming communities. See diverse desert flora, birds of prey, Xantus hummingbirds, jackrabbits, coyotes, fox, burros and much more here.

Los Cabos scenery is truly stunning; however, wait until you see it from the bottom up. In Cabo San Lucas, underwater beauty is close and it is easy to arrange. A protected marine sanctuary, Cabo San Lucas Bay shelters schools of tropical fish, sea lions, and exotic marine life. Spear fishing, collecting, or fishing is illegal but exploring has no limits. Besides, if you have ever dreamed of swimming with dolphins, here is your chance to turn your dreams into reality. Are you looking for even more adventure? Come to Las Cabos to see one of the most amazing animals in the world - whales. From January through March it’s easy to spot a gray or humpback whale around Los Cabos without even trying. You definitely don’t want to miss it!

Even watersports and partying are Los Cabo's main attractions, but there are also a few cultural and historical points of interest here as well. The Spanish missionary Nicolás Tamaral established the stone Iglesia de San Lucas (Church of San Lucas) on Calle Cabo San Lucas near the main plaza in 1730; a large bell in a stone archway commemorates the completion of the church in 1746. The Pericúe Indians, who reportedly resisted Tamaral's demands that they practice monogamy, eventually killed him. Los Cabos Restaurants

Formed from the combination of pre-Columbian and Spanish cultures nearly 500 years ago, today’s Mexican cuisine is famous all over the world. Fresh ingredients are mixed with chiles, exotic herbs and spices enhancing the flavour of each dish. As proud as they are of their heritage, today the restaurants of Los Cabos offer a variety of cuisine. Fine Italian, European, American and pan-Asian fare thrive in diverse settings. As Los Cabos is close to the ocean, it's not surprising that fresh seafood - lobster, shrimp, fresh fish and even manta rays - is plentiful and very popular as it is prepared in a number of exotic ways.

Also, try famous Mexican Tortillas. The humble tortilla is one of the oldest Mexican dishes known, pre-dating even the Spanish conquest. Made of corn, filled with chicken, vegetables or fish and folded down into a taco, it has been on the daily diet of both the upper classes and the workforce in Mexico for ages. A trip to Los Cabos wouldn't be complete without a taste of this traditional and simple, but yet mouth watering Mexican street food.
